Our very own produced piece, to adapt the VQ intake manifold throttle body flange to work with a 75mm Mustang Throttle Body. This product is made so you can run a NON Drive-By-Wire throttle body and Stand Alone ECU (It is recommended that you use this with our AEM 30-6051/Chase Bays VQ35DE Engine Harness combo)
Why would I convert to Throttle Cable throttle body?
Our whole idea is to get the VQ swapped customers to run the AEM Series 2 30-6051 EMS and Chase Bays Engine Harness. As told in our ABOUT section, AEM makes one of the best engine management systems in the world and we get it for a great price. It is required with the setup that you run a cable driven throttle body, and the best option is the Mustang throttle bodies. We aren't using the OEM Ford throttle bodies, we're using the aftermarket ones. They're very affordable (Aftermarket DBW VQ throttle bodies are very expensive), very simple, and they work perfectly. Lastly, cable driven throttle bodies have a MUCH better feel and are more accurate.
Why not just make an adapter plate without the aluminum tube?
Unfortunately with the OEM intake manifold there is no room on either side for the TPS or Throttle Body Wheel. Even with aftermarket intake manifolds like the Kinetix or Cosworth the firewall is very close to the Throttle Body flange.
